Acknowledge the market pressure first. Last night, the US stocks did not fall universally out of control, but tech stocks were weaker, with QQQ dropping by 1.85% on a single day. In essence, the market is initially risk-averse. However, when looking at today's news as a whole, the main thread is another matter: regulatory oversight for cryptocurrencies is moving from an ambiguous area to concrete rules that can be implemented.

First step. The most important new development last night came from the SEC. Reports suggest that the SEC plans to launch much-anticipated crypto rules as early as this month, which will include a safe harbor and broader exemptions. In plain terms, a safe harbor is essentially a 'relatively safe compliance zone' where some crypto activities won’t immediately run afoul of regulations. This is significant because many institutions have not been able to engage due to uncertainty about the regulatory boundaries.

Why is this news boosting market sentiment? Because financial markets fear not just bad news, but uncertainty. Rules that are too vague make platforms, funds, market makers, and custodians hesitant to move aggressively. Once rules start being implemented, even if not fully liberalized, it's like going from 'the road isn't built' to 'at least the lane lines are painted.' In simpler terms, money fears getting lost. Now, regulation seems to be saying: the road might not be wide, but they're at least putting up signs.

The second step aligns with the main thread, which is Coinbase Obtaining a UK License. The news states that Coinbase has received authorization in the UK not only for cryptocurrencies but also to offer stocks and derivatives on its platform. In plain terms, derivatives are financial instruments that derive their value from an underlying asset such as stocks, interest rates, or commodities, essentially adding leverage or insurance to the original assets. Crucially, UK users will now be able to trade stocks on this platform for the first time.

The significance of this goes beyond just 'selling more products'. It indicates that large crypto platforms are moving towards a model more akin to a. Previously, many viewed these platforms as 'specialized stores selling only coins'. Now they are beginning to resemble a mix of brokers, exchanges, and clearing platforms. If regulations in the U.S. become clearer, the platform's business model won't rely solely on fluctuations in coin prices. It can generate revenue from trading, custody services, stocks, and institutional services. Consequently, the market may start viewing these companies not as high-volatility stocks, but rather as regulated fintech platforms.

The third step is a bit convoluted but more realistic accompanying news. Bloomberg mentioned that discussions for the US to establish a Bitcoin reserve have stalled, with federal agencies still arguing over control. In plain terms, a reserve means official storage at the national level. What does this indicate? It suggests that while policy direction is moving forward, not everything is set in stone. On one side, the SEC wants to provide regulations. On the other, there are still unresolved internal government discussions about more aggressive arrangements. Therefore, today's most accurate understanding is not a comprehensive green light. Instead, it indicates that regulatory frameworks are advancing, but political and administrative details are still being negotiated.

These three pieces of news together reveal the transmission chain: The SEC is preparing rules, which will reduce some regulatory uncertainty; Coinbase has obtained a more comprehensive license in the UK, indicating that platform businesses are moving closer to traditional finance; However, at the same time, there is still debate within the US about Bitcoin reserves, suggesting that this progress is more about

Reflect on today's Asian trading session. The A-share major indices closed lower, yet the turnover in both the Shanghai and Shenzhen markets exceeded 2.5 trillion yuan. What does this signify? In plain terms, it means 'many people are present, but opinions are deeply divided.' Energy stocks performed strongly while other sectors were weaker. This scene also reminds us that global markets are not on a single bullish track; they continue to oscillate between news, policies, and geopolitical events. Therefore, it is not surprising that QQQ was clearly weaker last night. Investors are willing to follow stories, but only those with more established support mechanisms.

Next, let's look at the ETFs. First, I'll say those that are most closely related to today's main theme.

First, FBTC. The ETF Radar model is generally positive towards FBTC but the signal is moderate. It benefits from the favorable regulatory developments driven by SEC rules, though the evidence is not yet substantial. As stated in A segment, the driver is that the SEC has included crypto rule proposals on its July agenda and mentioned exemptions for certain crypto activities. In plain terms, this 'regulatory pathway evidence' means that while the door was previously locked, it now sounds like someone is turning the key inside. However, it's also honest to note that the AUM of FBTC is only $11.4B. AUM, in simple terms, refers to how much money this fund manages currently. The size is not particularly large, indicating limited participation from institutional funds and not yet a solid level of engagement. Therefore, here it seems more like 'the direction has become favorable,' but not that all quantitative metrics are aligned.

Third, AIQ. This is not directly related to today's crypto, but it represents an independent medium-term stance of the system. However, its performance last night was quite noticeable, so it deserves a separate discussion. The ETF Radar model has a positive bias towards AIQ with consistent signals. Looking at the quantitative metrics, it had a net real inflow of $2,241M over the past day, which is about 22.72% of its AUM. This means that the amount of money flowing in for one day is roughly more than a quarter of the fund's size, not a small amount but substantial capital. Additionally, Q segment mentions an AUM of $9.9B, indicating it is not a small fund. Today’s new catalyst includes SK Hynix's planned US IPO with a proposed fundraising of $28bn. This is not about price fluctuations but real corporate and market actions. In plain terms, this means the semiconductor and AI supply chain are continuing to align with and attract capital from the U.S. markets. Of course, there can be short-term exceptions. Q segment notes that over the arc window, AIQ has cumulatively declined by -1.24%, underperforming SPY by -1.36%. A -1.36% underperformance means it gained less than the broader market by 1.36%, which can be interpreted as relative underperformance. Therefore, it falls into a category where the fund has strong inflows but prices have not fully reflected this yet. Last night, AIQ actually rose by 3.22% on a single day, indicating that the market is starting to align with these positive signals.

Fourth, ITA. This is unrelated to today's crypto, it is an independent mid-term stance of the system. The model readings for ITA are positive, with multiple pieces of evidence pointing in the same direction. First, the hardest piece of evidence: net inflow of $766M over the past day, representing a 5.21% increase in AUM. In plain terms, this means there is genuine capital flowing into defense themes, not just rhetoric about geopolitical risks. Looking at performance, ITA gained +13.81%, while SPY gained +3.31%, resulting in an outperformance of +10.50%. An outperformance of +10.50% means it outperformed the benchmark by 10.5%. Another historical analogy provided is that over the past 24 instances, on average, there was a gain of +5.6% after 20 days (t+20). A historical analogy means pulling past similar scenarios to see what they typically look like after 20 days. Of course, ITA fell by 1.24% yesterday. This does not indicate that the system logic has failed because G segment also indicates a gain of +8.99% over the past 20 days. In plain terms, short-term gains have been realized but the mid-term trend remains intact.

Add one more related to interest rates but separate from today's main focus. IEF remains systemically negative, and the signals are consistent. This is unrelated to SEC or Coinbase; it is an independent assessment of interest rates. Q segment provided three hard numbers: CFTC net short positions at -1,938,747, IEF net outflows at -$1,606M, and the U.S. 10-year yield at approximately 4.49%. 'CFTC net short' means the net bearish position in futures contracts after subtracting bullish positions. The 4.49% 10-year yield translates to high borrowing costs for long-term loans in the U.S. High yields typically put pressure on bond prices. Therefore, IEF representing mid-term U.S. Treasuries remains cautiously negative. This also serves as a reminder: even if there are positive signals regarding crypto regulation, it does not mean that the entire financial environment has become fully

The most noteworthy statement today is: the crypto market is moving from 'no one dares to scale up' to 'rules are established before expansion'. This is a positive signal for related platforms and Bitcoin ETFs, but disagreements and bottlenecks still exist. Again, the above is the directional prediction of our system quant model for general markets and does not constitute personalized investment advice; please consult a licensed investment advisor before investing.
